Explore Tanzania safari will combine cultural tours, short walking around Masai Land of Northern Tanzania, Visiting Lake Natron which is One of the Breeding sites of Lesser Flamingos in East Africa, Game drive along Mara River in the Northern Serengeti seeing the residents Crocodiles and if lucky enough some residents Black Rhinos, Visiting Lake Victoria which is the second fresh water lake in the World and off course we will be in search of the thundering herds of the legendary Serengeti Wildebeest migration. Safari Itinerary

  • DAY 01 - ARRIVAL – JRO TO MOYONI AIRPORT LODGE

    On arrival at Kilimanjaro you'll be personally met and escorted to Moyoni Airport Lodge where you’ll spend the night.

  • Day 02 & 03 - MOYONI AIRPORT LODGE ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK - FLY CAMP.

    Breakfast this morning is enjoyed at the lodge before driving to Arusha National Park for a game drive in the park. Lying between the peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro and Meru, Arusha National Park is an outstandingly beautiful area. The Park has wide range of habitat, from the string of crater lakes where water birds can be watched, through the highland Montane forest and on up to the imposing Summit of Mt. Meru. Following a picnic lunch enjoy an afternoon game drive. The forest contains a wealth of birds and other animals, like the beautiful bushbuck easily glimpsed in the glades between the Ancient cedar trees, or the black and white Colobus monkeys climbing along their branches. The Interesting geology of the area is reflected in the impressive view of the ash cone and cliff face leading to the summit of Mt. Meru. Overnight TWO NIGHTS at Fly Camp. OPTION EXCURSIONS The Masai welcome you in their very special, impressive way. Let us introduce you to the life of the Masai at this ancient, mystical cultural site. Nothing is as you are used to it. You will live in clay houses with some additional amenities such as an English toilet, a shower and a sink. The large pool and the sauna also a portrayal of what you would expect from a luxury lodge. Already our Mirror Cave takes you into the African dream world. While trying to shoot a target with your own spear, your senses will be taken into old adventures and fantasies of killing a lion.At the campfire you learn everything about the Masai culture and are invited to ask many questions. In the evening a dinner will be served that normally only Masai eat. NATURE WALKS Experience the wideness of Africa first-handed at the Masai and Meru plateau situated in between Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro at 1,500 meters. Our experienced guides lead you through extraordinary flora and fauna on trails only known by the locals. Both the swamp of Meru land and the Masai Savannah are unique and untouched. The vast Savannah is home to innumerable medicinal herbs used by the Masai. Various animals like tortoises, birds or snakes find breeding grounds in the Meru swamp. In many Meru legends, the swamp is considered home to pythons. As a matter of fact, it is not recommended to enter the area during the rainy season. A picnic on an island, covered with meter-high spurge, makes you lose track of time. OR DAY TRIP TO SINYA AND THE NATURE RESERVE IN THE WEST OF KILIMANJARO On this full-day excursion you will discover the Amboseli ecosystem in the north of Tanzania, near the border to Kenya. With a bit of luck, you might even have the chance to get within meters of elephants. At noon you will have a picnic in the middle of the wilderness before you visit the market in Sinya at the end of the day, where you find Masai crafts as well as cozy little bars and cafés.

  • Day 04. - ARUSHA TO LAKE NATRON VIA LONGIDO GAME CONTROLLED AREA

    After breakfast leave with packed lunch and drive cross the Longido Game Controlled Area search for Lesser Kudu and Gerenuk antelopes along the way to the foot of Great Rift Valley, Lunch break will be along the way before arriving to Ngaresero Village where we'll head out to for a walk through the local village Ngaresero to Lake Natron. (We can also drive to the Lake) after a flamingos we'll visit hominid footprint on the way to Ngaresero Waterfalls 45 minutes one way walk. Dinner will be served back at camp. Overnight at Natron Riverside Camp.

  • Day 5 - LAKE NATRON - NORTHERN SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

    After breakfast leave for Long but interesting travel day through the rift valley, up the escarpment, with packed lunch to Klein’s Gate into Serengeti National Park game drive en-route to Northern Serengeti. Overnight Mara KatiKati Camp Located along Mara River.

  • Day 6 & 7 - NORTHERN SERENGETI - NORTHERN SERENGETI

    You’ll spend the next two days exploring the far Northern reaches of the Serengeti along Mara River and perhaps if you are very lucky, you’ll be able to witness the dramatic Wildebeest crossing. Overnight at Kati Kati Tented Camp

  • Day 08 - NORTHERN SERENGETI - LAKE VICTORIA.

    With lunch boxes, proceed to the Shores of Lake Victoria. Late afternoon, arrive in Mwanza city situated along Lake Victoria – the source of River Nile. We'll board evening flight from Mwanza to Rubondo Island 28mn flight for dinner and overnight at Rubondo Island Camp.

  • Day 09 - RUBONDO ISLAND - RUBONDO ISLAND.

    Boat excursions – one can view a spectacular beauty of the island, beaches, variety of water birds, crocodiles, amongst the deepest point in the Lake Victoria “Irumo”, hippos, otters, plants species along the shores as well as enjoying the cool lake breeze. Walking safaris - (Short and long) up to 4 hrs and above depending on the requests - One can enjoy seeing animals such as Suni, mongoose, Genet cats, monkeys, bush pigs, Sitatunga, bush bucks etc. Also, reptiles, forest birds, viewing the lake & shores etc. Game viewing – There is a possibility of watching big game such as elephants, giraffes and other mammals, reptiles, amphibious and variety of forest birds. Chimps habituation experience (CHEX) - One can join Chimps habituation crew to experience how chimps are habituated in their nature state without using any artificial means of attracting them to humans (e.g. feeding, playbacks, etc.) Canoeing - Canoeing is one among recreational activity on Lake Victoria with aim of diversifying activities in park. The activity involves paddling a canoe and is done as or as a part of a sport.

  • Day 10 - RUBONDO ISLAND - MUGANZA - MWANZA

    Leave the lodge after breakfast with L/ boxes and catch up with speed boat to Muganza town ready to continue with our drive to Back to Mwanza city about 7hrs drive. Today we'll spend the night at Serenity on the lake.

  • Day 11 & 12 - MWANZA CITY - CENTRAL SERENGETI

    Today you will leave after leisurely breakfast for full day game drive around Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We enjoy a game drive en-route to the camp. Dinner and Overnight at KatiKati Tented Camp.

  • Day 13 - CENTRAL SERENGETI - NDUTU AREA SOUTH EAST SERENGETI

    Leave after breakfast to Ndutu area, the area within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the south-eastern part of the Serengeti ecosystem, conveniently close to Serengeti National Park. Herds of Wildebeest, Zebras and Gazelle pass through the area during the rainy season together with a variety of resident animals and birds that inhabit the area. Dinner and Overnight at Ndutu Safari Lodge.

  • Day 14 - NDUTU AREA - NGORONGORO CRATER - EYASI.

    Wake up early for breakfast, then check out and drive with packed lunch and game viewing en route to Ngorongoro Crater for half day game drive. You’ll quick descend once on the floor you’ll understand why this is so often referred to as “Africa’s Garden of Eden” Is home for over 20000 large mammals that include some of last remaining black rhinos, the highest density of lions in Africa, hundreds of hyenas and jackals and large number of plain games. The central soda lake is often filled up with flamingos, enjoy your picnic lunch beside the pool which is usually frequented by hippos. Later in the evening drive to Eyasi Basin for dinner and overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

  • Day 15 - LOCAL TRIBE VISIT AROUND LAKE EYASI - KARATU TOWN

    After early breakfast at the Camp we head out and visit local tribe the Hadzabe tribe they are still Hunters and gatherers and one of the smallest tribe in the country,The main reason to visit the area is to learn about the culturally diverse of these local tribes found along Lake Eyasi basin. So after breakfast in camp we walk / drive about to a nearby Hadza camp. Some introductions and a brief tour around camp. Head off with the women to dig for tubers and pick berries & baobab fruit when in season. During this foray you are accompanied by men who will be harvesting honey. Head back to camp for lunch. Afternoon activities include making arrows with the Hadza men . Evening target practice and an optional short hunt. Sundowners with great sunsets and views. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

  • Day 16 - EYASI BASIN - LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK - RANDILEN C. WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA.

    This morning after breakfast drive in Lake Manyara National Park for half day game drive, perhaps the most beautiful on the circuit. Famous for Its elephants and lions-in-trees, the park boasts rich ground water forest, lakeside grassland and an abundant variety of trees and shrubs. The Lake is famous for its flamingos, pelicans, storks and Shore birds. During the morning game drive you'll understand why this is where part of Out of Africa was filmed, after enjoying your packed lunch in the park head out and drive to Mto Wa Mbu town learn about traditional crafts, and hear how locals are working to protect the cultures and creatures of their remarkable homeland, taste bananas and coffee beans fresh from the farm. Later in the afternoon proceed to Randilen Wildlife Management Area for dinner and overnight at Our Fly Camp.

  • Day 17 - RANDILEN COMMUNITY WMA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK - RANDILEN CWMA

    Early morning walking around Randilen Wildlife Area accompanied by an armed ranger followed by bush breakfast.This Walking Safari offers guests the unique opportunity to explore the north eastern parts of Tarangire N. Park on foot - an area previously set aside for big game hunting . Access to this wildlife-rich area – which hosts some of the highest densities of large mammals in the Tarangire ecosystem due to its rich habitat diversity – is a rare and precious opportunity. Being on foot in the undisturbed wilderness will give you a deeper understanding of the delicate balance of the ecosystem through closeup observations of their surroundings by actively participating. Getting out from the ‘safety net’ of the vehicle takes you beyond your comfort zone awakening at the same time the primitive sense of survival which adds to the thrill and excitement of the experience. Generally walks start at or just after sun rise and are tailored to the guest activity levels and ambitions lasting from a gentle two up to a more rigorous three hour exploration. Walking on animal pathways only, tracking and approaching plain game and dangerous game on foot as well as focusing on small things: tracks and signs, incredible bird life, uniquely adapted plants and interesting insects, all very important part of the Circle of Life but often difficult to notice on a safari vehicle. then you’ll embark on a full day’s game drive with picnic lunch, ranging far and wide OR go for Half day game drive in the morning come back for hot lunch at the Camp then afterward relax at the Camp. Among many aspects of animal behavior, your Guide will point out the fascinating way Elephants have of communicating with subtle interactions, after sun downer party we'll head out on two and half hours night game drive, This Night drive allow you to observe nocturnal animals such as hyenas, Genets, Possibly some big cats, drive back to the camp for dinner and overnight at Our Fly Camp.

  • Day 18 - RANDILEN COMMUNITY WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA - JRO VIA ARUSHA

    After breakfast drive to Arusha, Upon arrival there will be time for some shopping enjoy your lunch at Local restaurant thereafter proceed to Planet Airport Lodge for Day room use later in the evening transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight back home.
