Trip of a lifetime!! What an amazing safari trip! There are no words to express how life changing this whole experience was. Dickson, of Wild Planet Tanzania Safaris Ltd., was an excellent guide and representative of Tanzania! Every day was a new adventure! Right from the beginning of planning this trip he was an excellent communicator and made sure that we were happy with the itinerary and costs and worked within our budget and timeline. His knowledge of all the animals, birds, vegetation and local people was incredible. He is an excellent teacher and answered all of our numerous questions with patience and pride of his incredible country. We spent 11 days travelling with Dickson, learning lots, laughing hard and feeling so fortunate and lucky that he was recommended to us! We will remember this trip for the rest of our lives! The Absolute Best! You won’t get better for any price. Our wonderful guide, Dickson, made this trip of a lifetime an experience we will never forget and we are now planning to return. As well as being a really knowledgeable guide about anything that moves: mammals as well as the birds and insects, Dickson is one of the good, ethical guides who doesn’t harass the wildlife for the sake of a good photo. Magical magical! Our safari with Dickson - our guide and friend - was wonderful. He has a strong knowledge of animals, birds, landscape, plants and most appreciated by me - culture. Book with this company ! Choose Dickson as your safari guide. He is very flexible and knowledgeable about the animals and the culture in Africa. We learned that in Tanzania, the people are very pestering for tips.. except for Dickson… He doesn’t pester you - he focuses on great service, and because of that you end up wanting to tip him for his excellent service! He is friendly and happy and wonderful to spend time with on safari. He has excellent ideas on where to look for animals. Best safari guide ever !

Once in a lifetime trip to Tanzania! We spent 10 days with Dickson in June as part of a Vision Trip with our local church from Minnesota. We were picked up at the airport in Moshi and spent several days visiting a local hospital, an orphanage and a vo-techcnical center outside Moshi. We then drove to a resort on the rim of the Ngorangora Crater. At the National Park we saw Baboons, Zebras, Elephants, Gazelles, Wildebeest, Flamingos, Hyenas, even a pair of black Rhinos. Dickson is so knowable regarding these animals and could answer all of our questions. The next day we drove to the Serengeti National Park and continued to see so many animals. There were several female lions hunting a herd of Zebras along the road to our superior tented camp. At night we could hear the lions defending their territory outside our tents. Another full day in the park yielded several groups of hippos, lions, cheetahs, giraffes and elephants. These seasoned guides definitely know where to find the animals in this vast park. Hot lunches were served in the park with elegant service, including wine, coffee and delicious food. My husband has physical disabities and Dickson was always there to lead a helping hand. We spent two Sundays at Lurheran services and visiting with local Tanzanians. We did not feel like tourists but as part of the communities we visited. I would definitely recommend Wild Planet as a guide to anything Tanzanian. If was a trip of a lifetime.

Fantastic 11 day Safari in Tanzania Just came home from a fantastic trip with Wild Planet safaris! Our ranger Dickson listened very well to our wishes and made a perfect itinerary for us. Dickson is extremely knowledgeable about all the birds, animals, trees and Tanzanian culture. He sees every animal within eyesight distance and knows their behaviour, and therefore he waits the perfect time to observe the behaviour of the wildlife. And besides that he is just good company. During the trip we were sleeping in excellent tented camps. We also spent a couple of days at the house of our host which was very nice and extremely comfortable.

100% recomendation Wild Planet Tanzania Safaris by Dickson Excellent! I have been with Dickson at Serengeti National Park for three days and it was an amazing experience. Two nights under the tent in the middle of wildness with all the services around. Very good meals with boxes for lunch, we eat with wild animals near the car. I have seen a lot of wild animals including lions, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, and many others just a few meters in front of our car. Dickson knows where to find them, and everything was very safe. He is also a good offroad driver and gave me a lot of educations about the animals and nature in the Ngorongoro conservation area and Serengeti. He also made a fresh coffee for me in the car when cheetahs came to our car :-) I can only recommend this company and this kind of very strong life experience! Patrik from Czech republic

Majestic ! This was one of the most wonderful travel experiences my husband and I have ever had. Dixon was a marvelous guide with more information that I could hardly retain. We saw the Big 5 and much much more. His choice of Camps and locations was wonderful. The vehicle was very comfortable and the food was great. The inside look at local villages was touching to say the least . He is very supportive of the locals . Last but not least we saw the Wildebeest migration in all of its glory an event I will never forget for its total majesty .
